Very welcoming and friendly club – we booked a 2 ball at 1330 hrs slot on late January Saturday PM following a club roll up and managed to play 15 holes but were only asked to play for 9. For those keen to get some exercise this course offers a great work out although good situational awareness required when crossing fairways – some assistance is required for course navigation on back 9 although club members very willing to oblige! Will definitely return in the summer to enjoy this course in optimum condition. Great VFM.

This is a scenic and hilly 9 hole golf course that’s well worth a visit. There are some stand out holes (the 3rd and 4th spring to mind), some gorgeous views, and everyone I met there was really friendly.

There are a couple of climbs that will need to be navigated, but if you’re okay with that then I think you’ll really enjoy Alton. The greens were in great condition, and the tees and fairways were decent too.
